It’s been snowing on and off for the last four hours. As the picture to the left shows, it’s starting to accumulate as the temperature gets closer and closer to freezing.

Saturday, December 5th, 2009

It’s December 5th and this morning at 4:01 AM the temperature plunged to 21.2°F. It’s still Autumn! I’m beginning to wonder if this winter is going to be a cold one?

This isn’t the coldest temperature recorded by my Weather Station this year, but it’s pretty frigid. What was the coldest? 19.9°F was recorded the morning of January  28, 2009 between 7:33 and 7:41 AM. Today is the second coldest day of 2009 (so far) here in Benbrook.

Just for history sake, here’s today’s forecast:

Today: Sunny, with a high near 49. Windy, with a south wind 10 to 15 mph increasing to between 20 and 25 mph. Winds could gust as high as 30 mph.

Tonight: Partly cloudy, with a low around 37. South southeast wind around 15 mph, with gusts as high as 20 mph.

Well that’s it for the first blog entry of the new Benbrook-Weather.com. More to come as weather happens :)
